[South Florida DX Association] 2006 Miami Hamboree

The 2006 Miami Hamboree is history now. For those that could not make it you
missed a fun weekend for the SFDXA. Friday about 20 people came to welcome
Charlie K4VUD and Wayne N7NG to South Florida.

Saturday Morning the show opened and we had the tables directly across from
the main booth where the drawings are held so we had steady traffic and
several new Associate Members showed up with interest from others.

Charlie Harpole K4VUD gave a very interesting presentation on his
experiences at the VU4 Andaman DX-Pedition when the Tsunami hit.

We also heard about the latest on the KP5 DX-Pedition from Wayne Mills N7NG.
He also filled us in on other events at the ARRL DXCC desk including some
info from the DXAC.

The Dinner Saturday night was well attended by 37 Hams and spouses. A great
time had by all.

We hope those that missed it can make our next Meeting and future Dinners.
