IRC and VU7LD Information

Apparently, all the  logs from the VU7LD operation are now available for
checking whether or not  you are in the log at:

Today, I  (Dick) went to the main St. Charles post office and cashed in 126  
pre-2002
IRCs (for about $82 in U.S. postage stamps) without any problem. All  
foreign issued IRCs dated after January 1, 1975 are redeemable at  U.S.
post offices until December 31, 2006. This includes both small IRCs  (see
http://www.dailydx.com/irc3.jpg ) measuring approximately 2.5 inches by  4
inches as well as newer IRCs measuring approximately 3.75 inches by  6
inches. Refer to International Mail Manual section 372.4.d.

As of  January 1, 2007, pre-2002 IRCs issued by foreign post offices
have to be  redeemed in the issuing country.This is an update/change 
(correction) to  what was printed a few weeks ago.
