This is a group of amateur radio operators. Normally our interaction with
SWLs is when they send us a post card asking for confirmation and providing
us with a reception report.
Thus we transmit and receive. SWLs normally just receive. Many here may
have started as a SWLs. So we have much in common.
BTW, in my family seven of us are licensed. Including my wife and four
daughters. So yes, there are girls and women in the group.
As far as a starting place, normally a DX group is a bit elite - with state
of the art high-end radio stations.
I guess you can save a lot of time by starting with us.
