Want to work more on 160? "Ya' can't work 'em if ya' can't hear 'em."
Here's a complete receive package for the low bands that's about as close to
plug-and-plays as you can get. This is yet another W4UM project not
completed. Sherry thinks to loop looks too ugly and won't let me put it in
the middle of the back yard (she would probably sing a different tune if it
could help her increase her total on 6M).

1) 160/80M Coaxial Receiving Loop - This is a kit from KC2TX that is a
fantastic receive antenna for both 80M and 160M. It is diamond-shaped, 4'
on a side, and uses a single feedline for both bands. It looks brand new
since it has never been outside. I put the kit together in the garage but
it can be disassembled in a matter of minutes. I have spray painted the PVC
support tubes dark green to blend in better with the foliage. KC2TX
recommends the Ameco PT-3 pre-amp. The kit new from KC2TX sells for $149.95
plus $15 shipping. Check it out on his web site at www.qsl.net/kc2tx. You
can have mine for $100.

2) Ameco PT-3 Pre-Amplifier - This is brand new and never used. $100.

3) NTE(EGG) U-105 Antenna Rotator and Control Box - This, too, is brand
new, never used, and is ideal for turning the loop. $60.

Package deal for all three items - $240 plus shipping, or you can pick up in
Stuart or Tamarac.
