Hello all,

using the laptop and dial up connection to write this email... all things consider, we did ok.. our shingles in our roof are pretty much gone, no power in sunrise... the tower is still standing, the quad seems ok other than it looks like it rotated from horizontal polarization to vertical one...

I took Elizabeth and the baby with me at the newspaper due to I was on call for the storm, we did ok there, but we lost the presses, the area was flooded, as of last night we where trying to get press 1 to do a minimal paper, and our syster paper the Orlando Sentinel was going to print a small version of the Sun-Sentinel and deliver via truck down here...

I am off today - and also we have canceled our plans for KP2, family comes firsts before ham radio, the images that we are seeing from Downtown Fort Lauderdale are not pretty, our building in downtown lost some windows...

One thing, I have not seen such a nice sky last night in years, reminded me on how the sky looks back in YV.. I guess I will enjoy using the telescope. I just turned the HT on 14733, but I am guessing we took a hit at the towers at the hospital... 

More to come... waiting for daylight so I can start making phone calls to the insurance company...
