Some Early Comments On The Icom IC-7000 at about $1350

Manual notch filters, Digital Voice Recorder, Detachable panel, Remote
control Mike allows control of most radio functions, 2 mode band scope, and
last but not least ----- A 2.5 inch tv which receives channel 2 - 13.

Well they called it "DSP Squared" .  Bandscope supposed to be real time. In
the center mode the bandscope is centered on the receiving freq and in the
fixed mode it sweeps a fixed range. Nice color display. Also believe they
said you could tailor your transmit audio.

A couple of major differences between the IC-7000 and IC-706MKIIG is IF-DSP,
color mini-tft-screen, and software filters like the the 756proIII, no no
add-on filters like the 706MKIIG.
