>From the Icom List:

"...I received my new Icom 756 Pro III and really love it. I
had it on an a/b comparison switch and can only give an Objective Comparison
as I am visually impaired and couldn't get any subjective info. The BDR is
better than it is on the 756 Pro II, and it appears that the NR unit is
better as well. Its selectivity, even with the pre-amp on 1, is outstanding.
It has a better noise floor than the Pro II, and an obviously better
sensitivity. It is nice to be able to get within 2 khz away from someone
that is 59+, and work a week signal 2 khz away. The only thing that I wish
it did was allow you to record off the air, and play back their audio, so as
to allow them to hear themselves. I have found out that I can hook up my
digital recorder to the audio in and out using the ACC jack. I found no
problems at all on qsk or regular cw, even with the radio's DSP at 250 khz
filtering. Apparently the new roofing filter really makes a major difference
That is my two cents so far. I loved my Pro II, but found a deal on my Pro
III that was too good to pass up. 73's and g.b. everyone. "

Best regards,
Marty, W3QK
