[South Florida DX Association] Trip to the Bahamas

Hello,

I am making a trip to the Bahamas in March.  I have already applied for a
license. The trip will be a cruise.  I am planning to operate my FT-817 SSB
mostly, maybe a little CW if I become proficient enough.  

My time on land, the beach, will be limited to daytime hours.  In the
evening's I would like to be able to operate from the ship/Stateroom
balcony.

I have a MFJ fiberglass push-up that may fit in the equation somehow.

What Band's and Antenna configurations are recommended for this trip?   As I
am operating QRP, I'm guessing that a tuned antenna used without a tuner
would be the best choice?
