Today's Wall Street Journal has a front page article on Okinotori 
Shima, which is the subject of a dust-up between Japan and China.

Japan claims it's an island so they can claim sovereignty over the 
surrounding Pacific; China says it's just a wet rock and doesn't 
count.

When was it we called it a country?

Some Japanese are figuring ways to make it useful; stay tuned!
