Subject: [The Daily DX] Logbook of the World Renewals

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

Lot's of Logbook users are creating difficulty for themselves by not
carefully reading the instructions on how to renew their certificates. It's
really a simple process, but many folks are creating requests for NEW
certificates instead of RENEWALS. This causes loss of the original
certificate, and then requires the use of the postcard password because the
old certificate is no longer available to sign the renewal request. "It's
really pretty simple. Just right-click on the certificate line in TQSLCert
and select RENEW CERTIFICATE from the box. Create the renewal request and
send the resulting <callsign>.tq5 file to lotw-logs at arrl.org. That's it!
Yes, you will need to remember your private-key password; it's the same
password that you need to submit logs!"
