A few years ago I put up a web page describing how you could
connect a cordless phone with a "computer" interface to an ICOM
radio, and operate with VOX while moving around the house and
yard.

That page has generated a steady flow of email, mainly folks looking for
an appropriate cordless phone.

I recently picked up a Logitech cordless headset which was
designed to interface to a computer (no telephone).

Both computer sound cards and ICOM radios expect electret
condenser microphone levels, so computer-related audio products
tend to naturally connect to ICOM radios with few problems.

I have been using the unit for the last few days, and it works well.
On top of that, it was only $20, and I have seen it for less
on some web sites.
