BlankHi Everyone,
Just a note to beg for some donations for the Club Station.
I recently purchased a Pentium 266 MHz Desktop computer for $35.00
which I want to put up at the hospital in the Ham Shack for club use.
Our old 286 machine is kinda OLD !!!!!
The new computer runs Windows 98, has internet capability, 2 COM ports
and the Professional Office suite of programs including database and
power point.
At present I have loaded Logger 32, and CT logging programs.
Eventually, we will get the computer up and running with the rig for
contesting and DX spotting.
The Computer has 32 Meg of Memory, a 1 Gig Hard drive and a CD ROM.
I added a keyboard and mouse.
I will soon add a modem for RTTY.
Grant N4GM donated a 56 K Modem which is working FB.
We could use the following donations:
Another 32 or higher DIMM memory stick - It's about 1-1/4 x 5-1/4" 172
pin (I think)
A monitor with a DB 15 pin plug to go to the Video card. (I'm using
my backup Monitor right now)
A small set of speakers (amplified) to go with the sound card.
A printer would be nice, but not necessary.
If you can donate any of these items, please let me know.
73, Pete N8PR
PS: Joe W4SAA is moving out of the area. Now is the time to
volunteer to take over his spot as HF station manager. We have a
couple of projects planned to improve the station, and need someone to
spearhead them.
