 October has been a busy month.  It began with the statewide SET on the fourth.
>  Participation was light but all who participated learned from the event.  We
> even tried section-wide nets on 60 and 2 meters.
> 
> Many individuals and clubs participated in the CQWW and the ARRL Sweepstakes
> contests.  I have everyone had good scores and new ones in the log.  We had a
> lot of activity for JOTA and many public service events.
> 
> We have a new look to the section web site at www.sflarrl.org.  Please check
> it out and participate in the surveys.  The current survey will end on the
> 15th of the month.  Looking for the Section ECs and the Emergency plan? Click
> on the ARES logo.  VE teams and instructors please visit the site and notify
> the webmaster of any changes.
> 
> Speaking of changes, we have several changes in leadership positions this
> month.  Jan, WA2YL is stepping down as Section Traffic Manger and Kevin, K4PG
> will be stepping into that position.  We have new ECs in 2 counties: Indian
> River -- Bud, WA4ASJ and  Glades -- Thom, N5KFR.  More information about these

> Beginning December 4 we will have a weekly section-wide 2-meter SSB net.  It
> will be on Thursdays on 144.210 MHz. at 8:30 PM local time.  Please mark your
