I just reserved for 2004... Got a room for 3 nights for less than I spent
for 2 nights this year. Looks good to me.

Hey Guys, just to let you know. For the past 4 or 5 years I have been
paying what was described as the Hamvention (HVN) rate at Crowne Plaza -
$122/night, plus a bunch of tax. I thought I was getting a deal.
Additionally you couldn't make reservations until some time the middle of
June and if you were a day late sometimes you got shut out.

Well, I was just playing on the internet and found the following:

1.. You can make reservations for next year via the internet now.
2.. If you want to pay now (with no way to get your money back) the rate
is $75/night.
3.. If you are a member of AAA you can get a rate of $89/night and this is
cancelable with no penalty up until 6:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Just go to www.crowneplaza.com and look for Dayton, OH. It may show you
more hotels than just the Crowne Plaza so make sure you pick the right one.

Am I the only one who has been getting ripped off for the past 5 years?
