QSL manager KK5DO, Bruce Paige, says P5/4L4FN, Ed was QRV on November=20
15th on CW on 12 and 17 meters. Bruce also mentioned there will be=20
more WARC band activity soon. Starting today Ed will be very busy at=20
work. He is going to be installing a new VSAT antenna. This means he=20
will have to go to work earlier and be going home later. The antenna=20
is a 9 meter dish and will be 15 meters off the ground. The=20
installation should take him around 10 days. However, when completed,=20
comes the tuning. There are 4 data (256k) channels and 12 voice=20
channels for PABX. One great benefit is Ed's internet connection will=20
be 100% high speed. He will have the connection at the office and he=20
will be the only one to have a connection at his apartment. Then, on=20
December 10, he will leave for China for his one week R&R. After=20
having the flu last month, he is happy for this break and it cannot=20
come to soon. Because of this, his operating schedule will be very=20
slim if any. He was able to test the WARC bands the other day (12 and=20
17 meters) and made three CW QSOs. Possibly when he comes back there=20
could be more CW. Ed thinks this whole project will take about a=20
month. He doesn't think it will keep him completely off the air but=20
it will deter his activities. What activity does occur will be mainly=20
RTTY and maybe some CW. Ed thinks he is a little rusty on CW so=20
please be patient. As a reminder Amateur Radio is a hobby and=20
politics should be avoided at all costs. Politics have nothing to do=20
with Ed's activities, his work does. Just because Ed is not on the=20
air doesn't mean anything except that he is busy working, which is the=20
main reason he is there. For the latest news on Ed keep an eye here=20
and his Web page at http://www.amsatnet.com/p5.html.=20

Good luck Bill=20
