Offering for sale a near mint Drake L4B linear amplifier retrofitted and
dedicated for 1000W+ output on  6m ONLY  with 100w of drive. Clean, full
output Eimac 3-500's.  Aesthetically, unit appears stock Drake except
interior cabinet refinements have been made to the RF deck to allow for
1mHz DX chasing  band excursions without  retuning. Modifications
include:
a. 220-240VAC operation
b. "T" match/ variable inductor  front panel  fully adjustable tuned
input  (zero SWR) and compatible with solid state exciters;mounted in
 place of  bandswitch)
c. 12VDC heavy duty 3PDT  replacement antenna changeover relay for solid
state exciter relay switching  compatilbility
d. Broad banded and dedicated 3/8" silvered plate coil
e. Replacement antenna and plate tune capacitors for broad banded tuning
and ease of achieving resonance
f.  Replacement HV plate choke on porcelain  rod.
g. Dedicated 12VDC antenna changeover power supply
h. Replacement plate parasitic chokes
i. Mica tuned input blocking capacitor
Amplifier  appears OEM Drake. Front panel rotary switch places the amp in
the standby mode. No ALC required.  The power supply is  mint and stock
Drake in all aspects. All HV and secondary voltage circuits are stock
Drake.  All original factory  cartons. Will include a schematic with RF
deck changes.  $1100 prefer pickup in Scranton, Pennyslvania, New York
City, or New Jersey (GSP117A) areas.
