This came from Bill NA2M - Bill W2CQ

Gentlemen,

I will be on a business trip in Sanaa, Yemen from the evening of May 7th
till late night on May 11th, 2002. I did apply for permission to operate
amateur radio during my visit and I have received a written confirmation,
dated on April 23rd, to import my radio equipment and to operate them during
my visit. So far I have not been assigned a 7O-call sign and unless
otherwise agreed after my arrival, I will be using a call sigh 7O/OH2YY.

I will carry a FT840 transceiver and a FinnFet 1001 amplifier. I will also
have a Cuscraft R5 vertical with me and once in Sanaa I try to organize
either a dipole or a long wire for 40 and 80 meters.

I will be using the following frequencies: 3790, 7045, 14195, 18135, 21295,
24950, 28495 kHz. If the propagation allows, I will try to maximize the
number of QSOs by staying on higher frequencies. I will operate SSB only.

My QTH in Sanaa will be a bit outside of the city in a residential district.
Its a higher altitude location having a very nice and clear view to the
north over the valley of city of Sanaa. The QTH should be good for QSOs to
North America, Caribbean, Europe and most of Asia, including Japan.

On Tuesday May 7th I will arrive in Sanaa so late that most likely I have to
wait till next morning to get the antennas installed. I will have business
meetings on Wednesday and Saturday and I am not aware of the detailed
schedule yet. On Thursday and Friday I should be able to operate most of the
day. Anyway, I will use all the available time for DXing.

The QSL address is my home address: Pekka Ahlqvist, Vapaalanpolku 8B, 01650
Vantaa, Finland.

73 and looking forward to meet you in the pile-up.
