26-Mar 0408Z Subj: VP6DI Final Bulletin
UPDATE #26 (25 Mar 02)
We (AF2C and I) spoke with the crew on 15 meter phone at 0200, and this is the final update.

They will be packing beginning at daybreak 26 March Ducie time, but will be working 15, 20 and 75 meter Phone and 40 meter CW
throughout the night. 40 will be the only CW band for the balance of the operation. There will be no more RTTY or 160 meter
operations this trip.

Northern Europe will begin to be worked on 15 phone beginning at 0400Z and we believe that this station will be the last to be torn
down.
There have been about 40,000 qso's from Ducie to date.
The next stop is Henderson for IOTA enthusiasts and we estimate it will be a twenty hour run from Ducie to Henderson. The operators
will use their own VP6 calls on Henderson. The IOTA designations are Ducie OC-182 and Henderson is OC 056.
After Henderson, which entails a 24 hour stay, they proceed to Pitcairn for a hearty breakfast of champions and immediately will
return to Gambier Island for a flight home.
Caveat emptor: Europeans please behave
