Hi everyone,

Here is a note from a PVRCer. He had a bit of damage during the ice storm.

Jan and I went to Las Vegas last wensday just before the ice hit. We have trees down but no damage to the house, garage or tower. I have to fix some wire antennas. Our daughter and husband stayed at our house for a few days because we have a gas fireplace.

The amazing thing was that Jenny and I were out surveying damage and were 
standing and looking at the barn (within a few feet of where this picture
was taken) when the pine snapped and fell through the roof. Just 30 seconds
before I was looking at the top of the pine and the way it was leaning and
thinking "oh oh".  The station is on the right end of the barn and unlike with 
the Floyd adventure, it didn't get the "timber!" treatment and I might actually
be able to get on the air next weekend depending on whether I can route next
week's rain properly the way I want to. We just got a new roof on the house
and should be able to get the barn fixed but I'm sure the roofer is fully 
booked with higher priorities and we won't get relief real soon.

Power came back at our place late last night, way ahead of schedule and we're
feeling much better with the extra warmth and light.

Hoping we can all have a nice quiet Christmas.
