[Scanner] Attention all you scanner freaks out there in radio land!

Starting in a few weeks, you’ll have to find  another way to while away the 
hours, at least if you’re not willing to spring  for an expensive new radio 
monitor. That’s because the Baker County Sheriff’s  Office and other emergency 
agencies are switching over to the “800 system” (for  800 megahertz) from the 
time-honored VHF, all part of inclusion into a statewide  emergency 
communication  system.
