The 800-megahertz trunk radio system, which is used by Nashville's police,
fire and rescue personnel, is used by many larger cities because it can reach a
wider coverage area and can handle more users than analog technology, said
RoxAnn Brown, director of the Metro Nashville Emergency Communication Center.
