[Scanner] Uniden 9000

I've had a Uniden 9000 Xlt for a number of years----Finally after all this 
time I followed the manual and tried to put in some Alpha symbols to help me 
remember what I've got programmed in----

I'm stumped---I follow the directions---get the board to "read" what I 
want--press "enter" and the freq reads out but NOT the letters of what I've 
programmed in---

Can anyone help?

Bob only the first 250 channels can be alpha. The second 250 
channels will not. Try to hit select instead of  E  it saves and moves 
on to the next function you can add, hope this helps.
