The public safety building in Gilbert (Ariz.) cost $46.6 million and houses 
the city's police and fire departments, the prosecutor's office and the county 
courts. But is apparently doesn't accomodate the agencies's radio systems-- 
it's a dead spot. Pagers, cell phones and other radio gear doesn't work iside 
the building, forcing officers to used wired phones. A newspaper story said, "No 
one knows why parts of the building seem to block wireless signals." It then 
quoted Sgt. Jeff Esslinger saying, "It probably won't be solved."
