I had terrible interference and overload on my Patrolman 8 crystal
scanner and found that the best reception that I could get was with a 426
ohm coat hanger(The metal kind, I believe the plastic kind are .0864 ohm
but not real sure. Anyway the plastic one didn't work real well..) My
point is that if the antenna will only be 5 feet up (and you can get the
RG-6 cheap or free without risking your job.) why not try one for a Day
or so and then try the other? You will probably know within an hour
after you hook up the second coax witch one is best. I really don't mean
to sound sarcastic (okay maybe a little...) but I think that every radio
and your area can make a difference in what works best for you. After
you try this please report back to<snip>

Notice how I snip the rambling portion of my message so that you don't
wind up with an "e-mail train" sixteen paragraphs long that the rest of
us have to sort through? :o)
Pretty slick, huh?
<hint, hint>
All in fun guys. E-mail without humor is like a scanner without an
antenna.(Boring)
