Why not try and get some RG-11 for free?
Hey bet I've got your attention.
COMM Scope Co.
@ 68 Deg. F. & @ 500Mhz
RG-59 5.70 per 100'
RG-6 4.66 per 100'
or
RG-11 3.01 per 100

Cable Companies use the RG-11 for long drops to houses.
After making a run and maybe having a 100' left on the
reel it is usually thrown away or stacked aside and never used.
Ask one of the Cable Guys and see if he has any left over
short reels.
Or you could stop by the Cable office and inquire about
getting some.
Allot of the time it is who you talk to. Ask for someone from the tech.
dept.
I know of a Amateur Radio Club who gets these short reels.
Another thing is connectors. Could ask the Cable guy for a couple. If not
new ones how about some used ones.
The Snap&Seal Connectors can be put on without
the high dollar SNS Tool. Two pair of channel lock pliers.
One on each side of the Seal Ring. Squeeze and Snap.
Ask him to show you how to put them on.
If they know that you are not using it to wire up every
house on the block to free cable, they are more likely to
help.
Some times you will get no where, but sometimes you do.
I know from experience.
