Why is that?

Shortly after the collapse, the MHP portable tower was enroute from Jeff City,
and I installed a cross band repeater with temporary base to give them
Point to Point capability.  This is located on a very nice location for
great coverage.

The portable tower was online before morning, with lowband, and UHF
links to Tom Sauk and Romance, giveing them very good low band and
VHF coverage.

Not to infer that the tower is not needed, but it is amazing how well it
works without it.
