[ScanIndiana] Hancock Co Sheriff now digital

Just saw in our county paper tonight that the Hancock County Sheriff has
moved to the state SAFE-T digital system. The article says that they had
been deploying new radios for some time and they reached a point where 100%
of the officers had one so they switched to using the SAFE-T system full-
time.

I had heard a while back that they were deploying the new radios, but that it
would "take quite a while" and that they would be using the existing VHF
frequencies for some time to come.

It kind of stinks to be "deaf" now since I don't have a compatible scanner.
The old VHF (155.670) freq seems to be still in use as a secondary channel,
although traffic on it right now is VERY sparse. Guess I'll just have to
speed up the purchase of that new BC996T that I was planning on buying later
this year when MECA goes digital.

At least on the bright side it appears that all the other county and
Greenfield public safety services (county fire, Greenfield PD/fire) are still
on their old VHF freqs...at least for now.

I would like to hear confirmation from someone nearby who has the capability
to monitor this system and is able to hear the Hancock Co Sheriff radio
traffic.

Thanks a lot.
