[ScanIndiana] Indiana D-STAR Update

D-STAR Enthusiasts in Indiana - 

The D-STAR  forum at the Fort Wayne hamfest was well attended yesterday, Saturday. In fact, it was standing room only with nearly 70 in attendance. After the presentation an extensive set of literature about D-STAR was made available to everyone who wanted it as were free Icom hats. 

Dale, WB9YCZ from Indianapolis brought his new 440 D-STAR repeater to the hamfest and had it running  out in his vehicle in the parking lot so we used the repeater with our Icom 91AD D-STAR HTs instead of simplex. Dale introduced his new repeater at the forum and it will be located on the northwest side of Indianapolis at 700 feet. 

I would like to thank Gene, K2KJI of KJI Electronics for bringing a full complement of D-STAR HTs, mobiles and even repeaters to the hamfest. I know some hams got on D-STAR for the first time at the hamfest because Gene brought D-STAR equipment to the fest. His store can be reached at: www.kjielectronics.com
