I too have used VOX to record overnight traffic or if I was at work and
didn't want to miss something.

I couldn't resist adding my $00.02 worth on the mobile scanner issue in
Indiana

Do I personally agree with the current law as written?  -  NO

Do I abide by it? - Not really

Am I gambling with loosing a radio or two, court cost, attorney fees?  - Yes

Do I care? - No I do not and NOBODY **AND I DO MEAN NOBODY** can change my
mind!

If I choose to break the law, I am willing to accept any and all punishment
handed down no matter how harsh.

Why do I feel like that I am an American, this is America where we are free
to choose right or wrong.

Do I blame the Police Officer who stopped me or conviscates the radio(s)? -
No he's just doing his job, we pay him to enforce the laws.

Are all laws fair and proper? - not !

In my home town of Evansville Indiana there is a law on the books that say's
" Hamburgers can't be sold on Sunday"  I have yet to see anyone arrested at
McDonalds, Burger King or anywhere else in Evansville, Is it a good law Hell
No, If eating hamburgers on Sunday in Evansville Indiana is illegal then I
am a habitial offender and should be given life in prison at hard labor for
the number of illegal burgers I have consumed over the years.

Do I obey the posted speed limit No not usually, do I blame anyone if I get
stopped and ticketed? - Yes Who do I Blame? - Me.

Just an FYI - I am studying for my Amatuer Radio Ticket, not only too make a
little more legal on the scanner side of things, CB radio, FMRS, are still
too crowded, unruly,..

300 baud modem and a Radio Shack Pro36...  Took the 36 and hooked it to a
voice activated recorder so I could hear what was going on during the
