Why? I think the hobby is _much_ better with one source of info. First off -
you have one central location that you know is updated often. There are
boatloads of scanner websites out there but 1) hard to find and 2) not
always updated. The Tippecanoe Co info on IndyScan hadn't been updated since
1999. RR.com updates all the time, and is not relying on one webmaster to do
so.
I guess I don't see how things are "worse" by having a centrally located hub
that all users can update as new info becomes available? I shut down my
Mid-Michigan page last year and linked up to them and I haven't noticed any
suffering...
