I at first wondered the same, so to be sure, I pressed resume on the BC296D
I was using a couple of times each. One was heard last thursday, and the
other approximately before that. I agree it seems odd, unless someone was
out of area and their radio affiliated because they were in the area.
Happens up here in Michigan all the time.

Hi Jim, I'm kind of surprised that you're hearing data at all. Here in the
Central Indiana area, I hear voice traffic regularly on all of the DOT
talkgroups that are in the area. In fact, I'm wondering if your radio was
getting fooled by something, because the Falls City and Madison
Sub-Districts are part of the Seymour District, in south-eastern Indiana.
Doubtful that they would be affiliated to the LaPorte site.

Ken

Doug,
  Thanks for the info. Do you know if I can expect to hear anything other
than data on the two DOT talkgroups?

12368 = ISP-13-OPS1  (ISP Dist. 13)
24832 = DOT-54-UN2 (FALLS CITY SUB)
24896 = DOT-55-UN1 (MADISON SUB)

Hope this helps.
Doug
