Subject: [ScanIndiana] Dispatching tern used on MECA

Hello To All, I have a question about what I have been hearing on MECA
System 1, I have been hearing fire calls go out for EMS runs and when the
units are dispatched for IFD Example Engine 20,Medic 20meet Police at scene
for ID. Is this some type of new wording that MECA dispatchers are using?
Can somone clearify what this is, We know that Engine 20 and Medic 20 are
enroute to the scene but for what??? What is a ID,I do not think it is for
Identification,In my 40 years on montoring the scanner I have never heard
this type of coding used to dispatch out to units enroute to the scene. Can
we get this in simple terms what this really means,Thanks Happpy Holidays To
All, Tim DeLong W9NES Indianapolis,Indiana
