Okay here is my report from last weekend's Brickyard 400.
The racing frequency list above is dead on.
NASCAR was using Ch. 1 with command calling itself "Tower".
Local traffic was on the MECA TAC talkgroups, plus of course the
City of Speedway talkgroups. On talkgroup 11216 Speedway PD Dispatch
I heard "Control to Tower", so obviously they had a presence inside
the Pagoda.
The 181st FW "RACERS" fly over was heard on 118.675 Speedway Tower.
I was testing the scanner and inadvertently picked up transmissions Wink
Wink in the 450 and 455 MHz range as follows.
450.4125 "Raceday" Program Local TV
455.3125 Ch. 13 Director feed
455.5125 "Weekend Sunrise" program w/ Doppler 9000 (Ch. 13?)
PA was using 455.1375 and 450.1375.
Before the race some group was using 155.2800 (Hospital to Squad)
as a casual chit-chat channel.
Inside the track I was hearing food vendors on 467.950 and 467.975, its
possible it was just an over riding signal from a nearby transmitter,
but it really didn't seem to be that way.
It was great time, especially enjoyable when your favorite driver wins
the race!!! Cool
