[ScanIndiana] Pro-62 Problems

I have a Radio Shack Pro-62 and at certain times I am getting a nasty =
noise
overtop of transmissions that I am receiving.  It is not frequency =
specific
or time specific.  It has happened during the day and at night.  It does =
not
affect all channels either.  It is really annoying.  I thought my =
batteries
were getting low so I changed them and it was still doing it.  The only
thing that works sometimes is to turn off the scanner for a little while
then turn it back on.  Just wandering if anyone could help?
