Only complaint I've ever had about the 2006 is that from the factory it
doesn't cover the entire 800 public safety band.  You can't hear all the
channels in many trunked systems; particularly their control channels.

Awesome radio, otherwise.  Has really nice band-pass filters on the
front end.  Attenuator toggle switch is cruddy but could be shorted
across if you wanted to ensure a solid antenna connection.  And it's a
triple-conversion superhet receiver.  Between the good filters and
triple-conversion it's not so easily overloaded by strong in-band
signals (i.e. paging and repeater transmitters).  And, one of the few
receivers that doesn't get any 800 MHz interference throughout 900 MHz.
