50 Ohm Coax try LMR400 it is weather resistant and much lower loss than RG-8
You did not state how long a run you were going to use... But this LMR 400
is good for a couple hundred feet and would perform very well even at that
length...

If you are wanting to receive in the \UHF bands use N connectors all the way
in you can have whatever you need on the indoor end... But anything less
then N connectors at 200+ MHz is wasting enough signal to be noticeable..
