Interesting.  I got the impression it was still in the very early
stages.  Should be interesting to see how that progresses.

Who knows.  Although, I'm seeing a (seemingly unused) RD-LAP 19200 baud
data carrier on a SAFE-T frequency (854.9625) down here.  It wouldn't
surprise me if different agencies go with different MDT systems.  I
wouldn't think the MDT system would matter much to the users since it's
largely intra-agency.  However, it might be of some cost benefit for
smaller agencies to have the state providing their MDT services if that
should be made available to them.

Oh well, enough speculation for now.  ;-)
