Here are military air frequencies for
Indiana and Ohio from my personal files.

Note, these appear in the 2004 edition Police Call
as I am the editor for the Government/Military section.

I am also the Federal/Military editor for the All
Ohio Scanner Club http://www.aosc.org/

and President of the Cincinnati/Dayton Area
Monitoring Exchange (MONIX).

I also authored an article on Military Air operations
in Indiana in the November/December 2003 issue of
National Communications magazine. http://www.nat-com.org/

Of course, as with any information in our hobby
it is subject to change at a moments notice. That
is what makes lists such as this one so invaluable
for up to date info. If anyone finds any of this info
out of date or in need of corrections please let me know.

In addition, anyone using the AFS780 freeware program for the
BC-780XLT you can find files of military air frequencies for
Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky on both the MONIX and UnidenBC780XLT
Yahoogroups lists (you'll have to join them to access the file
areas).

Enjoy,
Mark

--------------------------------------------

Jefferson Proving Ground is a 55,000 acre range opened
by the Army in 1944 as an artillery practice range.
Located just northwest of Madison, Indiana, it was closed in 1994
and has been turned over to the State of Indiana which has
considered turning it into a wildlife refuge. The problem is
there is still thousands of unexploded munitions buried throughout
the grounds, and the cost to remove them is astronomical.
Units from Indiana and nearby states occasionally still
use the airspace above the grounds. The former Range Control
frequency of 343.000 can still heard on occasion from units
practicing above the range.
