What's the weirdest thing about it is that if they go digital it's no big
deal... There are now two handhelds and one base/mobile, with another base
and another mobile coming in the next month or two, capable of receiving all
APCO25 digital transmissions. It might have been something to worry about
"pre-9600 baud scanner" days, or if MECA was an EDACS system going to
ProVoice or OpenSky (not monitorable) but it's Motorola (i.e. APCO25 open.)
