Yes, myself and several others noticed them testing 1584 Friday around
noon and started hearing heavy traffic in the afternoon.  Best guess is
that they are trying to offload traffic from the jail talkgroups.

The radios talking on 1584 are originally from the court and jail
talkgroups at the City-County building.  Also, the control operator's
radio is new.  So, they probably had a console installed somewhere
specifically for the 1584 talkgroup.

1584 sounds like maybe prisoner transfers to me.

I have not listened to 1616 but I did notice it at the same time as
1584.


As for new talkgroups...  There's a 20112 talkgroup that seems to be
used by IUPUI radios.  Not sure if it's new but I have no information
for it.
