The "press pass" exemption is true, but there is specific criteria as to
what consititutes a legitimate working press member or organization.  Those
$20 press pass kits you can buy from various places are nothing more than
novelties and won't qualify you based on the way the IC Code is written.

In Terre Haute, the Vigo County Sheriff's Department issues press
credentials with your photo on them.  I would specualate other large
cities/counties around the state do the same and I do belive the State
Police issue some sort of credential.  Dave Bursten, PIO in Indy, would
likely be able to guide those wanting more information.
