To Whom It May Concern, Indiana code 35-44-3-12 is very clear to this point,
If you do not have a Ham Radio License issued by the FCC, or you are a
member of the new media, both of these by the way are exempt from this law,
or if you can get a letter from a Chief of Police or Sheriff of the county
you live in, you are covered all the way in legal terms, if not your radio
will be taken away from you and will be used against you in court if you do
not get the letter, let's do the right thing here, get you ham radio license
and carry a copy of IC 35-44-3-12 with you at all times, new Police Officers
that come out on the road like to do nothing that chase tail lights and
check out cars with lots of antennas on them even if you are a licensed ham
radio operator. Show the officer that you are a valid ham radio operator and
them show him the xerox copy of the code, read for him the subpart relating
to ham radio. This will set the record stright on this topic. This is my
view, take it or leave it,Tim DeLong W9NES, WRTV Channel 6 News....A former
