White River is using MECA temporarily due to reception problems with the
Johnson County 800 system. The initial dispatch to White River FD is sent
simultaneously on Johnson County Fire Dispatch Talkgroup (432), and on the
old Johnson County Fire frequency (154.010). Johnson County dispatch then
assigns them a talkgroup to operate on. These talkgroups are on the MECA
system. The ones I have found by listening so far are...
10096 White River FD EMS
10128 White River FD Operations 1
This is a temporary solution, until a new tower is erected in the northern
part of the county to solve some of the communications problems.
More information about this can be found on the Indianapolis Star and
Johnson County Daily Journal websites.

> Hello, I haven't been monitoring the MECA I system on trunker as much as
I used to, but during the recent tornado activity and following, I have
noticed what appears to be Johnson county, or Greenwood Fire using
several new talkgroups in the 10232 area. Does anyone know if these are
permanent additions, or just temporaries set up for the disaster
response?
