"Bravo Zulu" is Navy talk for "Job Well Done"
Main reason for this note is to say "THANK YOU"
Yesterday was not a good day for Indianapolis.
In my humble opinion, yesterday was a good day for our communicators and all
Law Enforcement and Fire Fighters. Listening to the scanner during the day
yesterday and all night last night (and still going), I have come to really
understand how difficult it is to communicate when the )*#&^$*)&$^# hits the
fan.
Yes, there where some problems with MECA, but after listening to all the
different IPD beats and both sides of MCSD running the disaster areas on the
same talkgroups, I do not think it could have been done just as well on the
old UHF/VHF systems.
The HAMS also have done a great job with this one. I even heard phone relays
for people going on. Was busy for everyone, even the smaller nets were
working hard and helping.
I think the world of Amateur Radio, Law Enforcement, and Fire Fighting have
(and continue to) done a great job. If I could, I would give you all a 96
Special Liberty Chit so you could have a week to regroup once this is over.
I know I can not give you the time off so in return, the best I can do is
say THANK YOU and WELL DONE!!!
