the Freqs in Your scanner

Depending What type of HT They use it will be on the same Band , Normally 
not to far away on the Freq they use for Normal activity, A lot of agencies 
are now Using Nextel it Cheaper and more secure than most normal 
Communications . a lot of times they will Just use another PL on the input 
if they use a repeater,  or talk on the output it is a very dangerous thing 
to do because it might block out a real emergency of another unit, . most 
Law Enforcement People have no idea how radio works,  and as You know We 
have the Indiana Law , I got checked out in Cal City IL. once and The Cop 
told the other one to go to the secret tac freq to see if the other one 
could hear it on My scanner ? you know what the Secret freq was , It was 
the same freq,  they just switched to direct on the output of the 
repeater,  they were upset that My scanner would pick it up, But it was the 
Same freq and because they were right by it  was the strongest Signal 
anyway,  I thought I would Educate them how dangerous it is to use it like 
that,  But I just kept My mouth Shut and Was told to take the scanner out 
of My car in Il,  and just think they do not even have a scanner Law. Let 
us know how You make out it is always fun to find the so called Secret 
Freqs but we never want to List or do anything that would jeopardize 
Law  Enforcemet or our Safety.
