You're right, I am a doctor. I work at the Methodist Emergency Medicine &
Trauma Center in Indianapolis. The "FACEP" stands for Fellow of the American
College of Emergency Physicians. A Fellow designation is an honorary title.
You must be "board certified"--this means passing written and oral
exams--AND provide a substantial contribution to the specialty through
teaching, research and advocacy. Every specialty branch of medicine has
either a 'college' or 'society.'

Today I'm actually due to become the President of the Indiana Chapter of
ACEP...
