I don't know about breaking news.  Been a topic here for the past year
or so.  I think you'd be hard pressed to find an IPD car without an
unlicensed "tac" radio.  I'm sure there are a few of them, though.

In my experience?  Deny it, blow it off, or sometimes threaten the
person who mentions it.

Yes, until the election was over.  Sheriff Deputys are back on in a
limited fashion.  They just picked new freqs.  Sounds like they even
learned that they don't need 50W to talk across town.

I'll see if we can get a new list posted here.  Dozens of unlicensed
freqs for IPD, County, and others.

Harrasing the licensed users, cussing, running modified Ham rigs on
unlicensed freqs, etc.
