Not to start a huge war (PLEASE), but I have carried a scanner with me
many times, both in my truck and in person, and have never ONCE had a
problem.  I even remember carrying my PRO-90 inside the Indiana state
office building.  Never heard a peep out of security.  Even on the scanner
:-)  Of course, ISP99 is a fairly inactive system.  I hear the capitol
police, and some of the other talkgroups, but it is usually pretty quiet.
