I'm done with this as I'm not getting anywhere... EDACS Digital Provoice is
_not_ open. It uses the same IMBE vocoder as APCO25, but doesn't share the
same modulating process. You're saying something like "all computers are the
same because they all can use Intel." However an Intel chip can run Windows
98, Win95, WinNT, Linux, etc. You can't take a Linux program and run it on
Windows 3.1 "just because it uses the same chip."

The Uniden scanner will ONLY serve Motorola ASTRO APCO25 systems. Check the
APCO25 forum of http://trunkedradio.net since you don't seem to believe me.
