I know a lot of Scanner listeners Enjoy Listening to different types  of 
Communications and that Car Racing is one of Many , And We are Close to the 
State of Michigan that has a In the Veh Scanner Law , Having A valid 
Amateur Radio license will make You exempt , Only if the Person who checks 
You out is aware of that. And of course not Everyone has one or is it 
Necessary to be Scanner Buff  {No not listening in the Nude for the 
youngsters who have Never heard this term} So to be on the Safe side the 
State of Michigan Dept of Police will give You Free A Permit for Use of A 
Scanner in Your veh. By just filling out the request form , Which I did and 
got back in Four Days , A Nice little wallet size Permit, signed by the 
Director. this May seem unnecessary Until One gets stopped over in Michigan 
Driving to Grandmothers House or going Fishing with Your Family and you get 
stopped. It might be a Real Not Go To Jail Card
